A New Season

New Year's Day was a special day and time with my family. We all got to be in church together for the first time in a long time. My brother and sister-in-law were able to share their hearts in the service as they were worship leaders at FMCC for many years. Pastor Lynn called them up and then she called me up to give a word and said for Shane to join me. I had a knowing that day that I would be sharing during the worship service. The Lord was revealing his love and power in a new way and everything I went through made sense in a way. He was preparing my heart for what I would share and showing me how far I had come. When I took hold of the microphone I did so with boldness and a knowing that if my testimony touched one person that day it would be totally worth it. I am thankful that the Holy Spirit gave me the words to say and I loved looking out into the faces of the precious people and sharing how I had been set free from fear. My mom said that she thought I was going to start preaching. Shane got to share as well which was inspiring for husbands and dads. He is pretty wonderful by the way and we have been through so much together. I am so thankful to have had a faithful and consistent partner by my side.

This word really meant so much to me:
A new season is dawning. The winds and clouds are its escorts. Nature confirms with the chorus of migrations. Seasons are My gift to you for a fresh new start. Release the old while embracing the new. This change is welcomed with the glee of laughing children. Be like the waterfowl who turn their faces into the new wind. You are concluding a season of much activity and hard work. Problems have been many, but you have worked through them all. Now the thought of a season change is inviting and exciting. You are stronger now, more steadfast and anchored in Jesus. Count the cost. Chart the course. Today, you begin a great and new season. I am with you because I love you. ~ Beverly Robinson

Daniel 2:21-22 (MSG) "He changes the seasons and guides history, He raises up kings and also brings them down, he provides both intelligence and discernment, He opens up the depths, tells secrets, sees in the dark-light spills out of him!"

That's beautiful, Angie. I'm so happy for you and your family and that you got to share what God has done in setting you free. I can't wait to hear about this new season and everything God does in it! I'm so excited for you!
