My Aunt Jan mailed me the Zoo News from Memphis the other day. I remember my Grandma used to take us there along with our cousins and we always loved making those wax molded animals. The first time Landon made one of those it brought back a lot of memories of times with her. I miss her so much.

A baby giraffe was born for the first time since 1995 and she was named "Angela Kate." Wow~ of all the names for a giraffe! A 13 year old female giraffe named Marilyn is acting as a surrogate mother to the baby whose real mother is Alta. Marilyn gave birth to a stillborn baby 5 days before and then stepped up to take care of Angela Kate since Alta rejected her soon after birth. Pretty amazing.
