Mother's Day Tea

Wednesday before Mother's Day was one of the best days ever because I got to visit Landon at school. The Kindergarten teachers put on a lovely tea for all the mommies and it was such a blessing! Landon was SOOO excited (see last picture) and I felt bad that I haven't been able to help out more in the classroom this year. He made a card and a calendar and wrote a little paragraph which was waiting on the table for me and I just about cried. He was so proud to show me every little thing and introduce me to his friends at his table. One little girl just smiled and smiled at us and was so cute. I have met her before on a field trip but turns out she adores Landon and he just loves his Mary Grace!

There have been a few bumps in the road as it goes in Kindergarten but Landon loves his school and he really loves his Miss Hoover:) She has been a gem to work with and we have had good communication with her throughout the year and it has been very good to feel as if we are a team. We believe she was handpicked for Landon and it one of the sweetest people ever. She really gets him and understands him so well and I just hope that this trend continues on into the first grade. There are so many adjustments during K and it is so amazing to see how far Landon has come.

They sang a little song to all the moms and then put on a little show dressed up like flowers, raindrops, and weeds which went along with a little poem. Landon was proud to be the gate along with his friend Maggie. I wish I had gotten pictures but I was taking video during that time. Moms can't do it all you know! It was all very sweet and it was great to talk to some of the other moms I had not been able to meet yet. It was an amazing start to a lovely Mother's day and I am so thankful:)

How incredibly sweet. It is tough to juggle having a little baby and getting to the kids class to help out. Siblings aren't allowed to go to help out in Chloe's class either. Which I understand but it's frustrating sometimes. When we get there maybe we can swap out. I'm so glad that Landon has a wonderful teacher. It makes all the difference in the world.

So sweet. Love his big grin in the last picture. I'm sure his daddy loves what he wrote about the Hobbit book too. That's awesome.

It's such a good feeling when you know you have the right person leading your child at school. God bless teachers...I am in awe of what they do.
